Famous poet Richard Cadogan takes an impromptu holiday to Oxford, where he studied at the university, after growing bored with the literary life in the suburbs. After finding himself in a high street, in the middle of the night and with no place to stay, he stumbles across a shop with its awning still up. Closer inspection reveals it to be a toyshop, and on finding the door unlocked, curiosity leads Cadogan inside, then up a flight of stairs to a flat where he finds the murdered body of an elderly woman, before being knocked unconscious. He wakes up the next morning in a supply closet, but after escaping and bringing back the police, the toyshop is no longer there, replaced, it seems, with a grocer's.

REACT-EU-Vorhaben
Zur Kompensation von Bildungseinbußen durch die COVID-19-Pandemie, stellt die Europäische Union mit dem Corona-Hilfsprogramm REACT-EU zusätzliche finanzielle Mittel zur Verfügung. Das Land NRW erhält aus diesem Programm rund 400 Mio. Euro für die Europäischen Strukturfonds. Weitere 140 Mio. Euro kommen aus dem Europäischen Sozialfonds (ESF).
Im Rahmen dieses Projekts wird durch die Europäische Union die digitale Ausstattung der Teilnehmenden am Zweiten Bildungsweg in der Volkshochschule Neuss gefördert.

Projekt ANC (Aktionsprogramm Aufholen nach Corona)
Um Schülerinnen und Schülern das gezielte Aufholen pandemiebedingter Lernrückstände zu ermöglichen, stellen Bund und Land bis 2022 insgesamt 430 Millionen Euro zur Verfügung. Durch diese zusätzlichen finanziellen Mittel sollen mit dem Programm „Ankommen und Aufholen“ vor Ort individuelle Förderangebote ermöglicht werden. Die VHS Neuss beteiligt sich mit einem umfangreichen Angebot an diesem Programm und bietet den jungen Menschen somit Unterstützung an, diese Rückstände aufzuarbeiten.
